I love films like this. Definitely food for thought. Have you heard about that new documentary called Dirt? I want to check that one out, too.
I love films like this too. I haven't seen Dirt! The Movie yet but there have been some articles about it in our local paper. You've just reminded me I want to see it so the boys and I will watch it online today and I've just asked our library to buy it as well. Thanks for the reminder. As a gardener I am a big fan of dirt ;-). As a gardener who has just left the garden soil I have been working on for 10 years and moved to a temporary home I realize that "good" dirt is pretty vital to good growing, I'm working on the dirt here a bit even though I know we won't be staying and I very much look forward to finding our forever home where I can begin building good dirt that will help provide us with delicious food for many years to come. ;-)
I have been lurking around for a month or so now and figured I ought to fess up. I'm not quite sure how I found you, but I have enjoyed reading and learning from your posts.
I'm a mom of one who is trying to live simply. We live on a cattle ranch in Wyoming where I grew up, 7 miles from a town of 100.
Anyway, I appreciate your blog and look forward to new posts.
