Think like a squirrel

Saying that I am not much of a shopper is a bit of an understatement. I will go to great lengths to avoid any sort of shopping but thrift store shopping. So this Fall, when I first heard about Rancho Vignola, I put in an order with my friends and was thrilled to have food delivered right to my door. In fact, I was so thrilled that I decided to go ahead and get even more during their Spring sale. We ordered Saturday morning, and it arrived this afternoon.

Good thing we got that second-hand third freezer for all my extra produce this Summer. It is still being put to good use.

Mine should arrive tomorrow. :)

Yes, it really is quite a haul, especially because this time it is all for us. So yes, you can go ahead and picture me all hunched over my boxes, with much mustache twirling and shifting eyes, muttering, "Mine, all mine, wha ha ha ha ha ha." :-) I realized last night that it is a good thing that I have a cold room as well as the freezer space because they really fit a lot of stuff in those boxes. When you start to transfer it to glass canning jars you get a whole lot of jars filled.

I just placed our joint-orde yesterday and was so delighted to hear that they're delivering quickly this time! I waited MONTHS UPON MONTHS for my last order! Mmmmmm

What types of things have you tried from the company, and would recommend?

Mary-Sue, I am glad to hear that you guys got an order in too. It was super quick this time because they already had all the stuff in stock. I really love that place, now I just want a similar place to get beans and grains from.

Rebecca, every thing that we have tried has been good. The raisins and dates are fantastic - way better than our bulk store. Almonds, hemp seeds, sunflower seeds, flax, dark choc. chips, apricots, and cashews are all good. Unfortunately the yogurt covered raisins that my husband got are not so good - they refuse to stay in their jar - bad yogurt raisins, bad! :-) If you check online they might still have some stuff left for their Spring sale.
