I came across these gingerbread men last year when I was looking for gift ideas and thought they were adorable but didn't have time to make them. This year when we got
our big tree I started looking for ornaments to make and came across them again and decided I must make them. The
directions are here and they are such fun to make. I made one.
Then some more.
Then more.
Here they are. Now I'll just attach a hanging thread and put them on our tree.
I just love their little faces.

They remind me of that scene in Shrek where the short guy (John Lithgow's character) is interrogating the Gingerbread Man, and tortures him by breaking his legs and arms. It's very funny. ("Do you know the Muffin Man?" "The Muffin Man?" "Yes, the Muffin Man, the one who lives on Drury Lane.")
Hey, my word verification is HUSLY. I'm a Husly!
you love their terrified little faces? their "please don't eat me! i want to LIVE" faces? my kids are totally traumatized by them! LOL!
EXACTLY, Sheila! that's just what they're reminding us of too -- and my kids HATE that scene! husband and i, however, LOVE it. SO funny! we do the muffin man banter when we cook together. hee hee hee
These are so perfect for my gingerbread-obsessed offspring! They will only too well relish the stricken faces! Thank you- and Happy Ho Ho Ho! (jikenal doesn't have the same verification vibe!)
Sheila- That is EXACTLY what they make me think of as well!!
These are too cute...I will have to make them next Christmas!
...I can't seem to click the link though.....
Wicked funny!
It works now, thanks!!
They are just fab - hopefully I'll try and make at least one this year xx
Shelia you husly...should I make them some crutches, do you think? ;-)
Mary-Sue, of course I love their terrified faces and their Oh No! mouths. :-) You should see what we do to REAL gingerbread men around here - no mercy, I tell you.
Mandy, thanks for letting me know about the link. :-)
