Denim Raggy Quilt

Turning these...
into these...
and then...
into rows...
to join into panels...
to join into this...

sure does take a lot of thread.

Now I just need to clip all the edges and try to fit it into my washer to turn the seam edges "raggy".    Can't wait 'til it's finished.

  1. What a great way to use old jeans. That is going to be one sturdy quilt! Can't wait to see its progress as it starts to fray and look more "raggy."

  6. That will be so awesome - I stayed in a room at camp that had these quilts on the bed - they were all backed with plaid flannel and were oh so cozy...

  8. I love this. I'm very interested in how it turns out. Raggy seams are the perfect solution to otherwise bulky ones.

  9. This is my first time visiting. I LOVE the denin quilt. I have BOXES of old denim jeans just *waiting* until I have the time for this.

I also can't wait to try those scrumptious recipes of yours.

  10. Hi Marcia

Thanks for visiting. I'm so glad you will be able to put those old jeans to good use too, it is SO fun to be able to use these things up, isn't it. And I'm just so pleased with how the quilt turned out, it is still hanging on that upper wall and hasn't made its way to the basement yet for its intended use. I want to enjoy looking at it for awhile longer yet. ;-)
