How could I resist???

I went to the thrift store to get stitch markers. I mean, have a look at this...I need some stitch holders. Doesn't just looking at it give you a headache? I know!So how come I came home with this? It was calling my name, I tell you. No...really, even W heard it. We didn't even get into the store before we heard it calling from the lower lot. W and I looked at it, looked at each other and then he convinced me that I had to have it. I actually left the store, went to the car, and then went back. He has told me that he will fix it all up for me.

And just look at that basket...now really, could you have just left the poor thing sitting there...in the cold...all by itself?

  1. I have had the experience of being called. But for me it was an old mechanical working Bernina for $5... My legs got weak when I tried to walk past...

  2. Oh wow, what a beautiful bike. I can totally see it's potential. It would have definitely called to me too. You did what you had to do... :-)

  3. Nice. I can so see you riding through Italy with bread and wine and some freshly picked flowers in that basket.

  4. $5 Bernina, I just love thrift stores and garage sales. :-)

It really is a beautiful bike, and I can also see some bread and wine in that basket - or at least my groceries. Imagine what great shape I will be in if I start riding it up that big hill to get my groceries by N's house.
