I just wanted to let you know I produced a 21 minute documentary about Miss Edna Lewis. The film is called "Fried Chicken and Sweet Potato Pie".

It is viewable in its entirety on Internet at a Gourmet Magazine website:

http://www.gourmet.com/magazine/video/2008/01/Edna

and at a Georgia Public Broadcasting website:

http://www.cforty7.com/film/theater?film_test=16

My website, http://bbarash.com/bb_friedchicken.htm has more information about the film and the story of Miss Lewis.

Sincerely,
Bailey BarashBaileyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09772063270942316250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3559352152168236450.post-64955771664632057862009-04-26T13:25:00.000-07:002009-04-26T13:25:00.000-07:00Your gardens are picture perfect! The first time I noticed one, just after we moved here, I thought maybe it actually was a proper almond tree and was quite excited. ;-)Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01343988569221606506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3559352152168236450.post-11121917644997621732009-04-22T20:18:00.000-07:002009-04-22T20:18:00.000-07:00Your garden is so incredibly beautiful when in ful...Your garden is so incredibly beautiful when in full bloom! I think we need...Almond trees? Do they grow nuts?

I think we need to post pictures of winter/summer gardens all around the house in the winter, if only to remind us that yes, one day that bare patch out there (or, in your case, that white blob) will be once more covered in blooms. All my fruit trees are in bloom and the mason bees are going mad, and it's the BEST feeling in the world. But this time always comes when I am feeling DESPERATE for some sunshine and warmth. Funny that.sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11005397694258169964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3559352152168236450.post-38407346534553346552009-04-20T15:19:00.000-07:002009-04-20T15:19:00.000-07:00Your garden is magical!Your garden is magical!affectioknithttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00956694289800463441noreply@blogger.com
